Ingredients

  • 200 g plain greek yogurt (2% or 5% fat)
  • 40 g unflavoured or vanilla whey protein powder
  • 80 g firm silken tofu — cubed
  • 60 g ripe banana — sliced and frozen
  • 200 ml lactose-free milk or fortified soy milk — chilled
  • 3 g pure vanilla extract
  • 60 ml cold water optional

Instructions

  1. Add the chilled milk, cold water (if using), Greek yogurt, and silken tofu to a blender jug.
  2. Sprinkle in the whey protein powder and add the vanilla extract on top.
  3. Add the frozen banana slices last so they sit closest to the blades.
  4. Blend on low speed for 20–30 seconds, then increase to high and blend for another 30–45 seconds until completely smooth and lightly frothy.
  5. Pause and scrape down the sides if any powder sticks, then blend again briefly to fully combine.
  6. Taste and, if the texture feels too thick for your appetite, blend in a little extra cold water or milk until it’s easy to sip slowly.

Tips for GLP-1 users

If your appetite is very low, pour the smoothie into a small glass and sip it slowly over 20–30 minutes; this keeps the portion visually less overwhelming while still delivering high protein and calories.

Use lactose-free yogurt and milk or fortified soy options if dairy bothers your stomach, as gentler digestion can make it easier to take in enough nutrition on GLP-1 medications.
